Dwayne Johnson Pride. Actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who starred in a race car blockbuster, reportedly is set to play country music legend Charley Pride in a biopic. An Oscar-nominated actor was originally cast for the role, but dropped out of the production. Pride reportedly had some doubts about Johnson in the role, but came to this conclusion after meeting the former wrestling star.
