Worst Celebrity Feuds

Worst Celebrity Feuds
Worst celebrity feuds. There are some celebrities you want to call your friend. And then there are those who you should never cross paths with. Check out some of Hollywood’s meanest heavyweights that won’t give up a fight …
Bristol Palin vs. Keith Olbermann
After Keith Olbermann called her ‘the worst person in the world’ on MSNBC for her position on abstinence, Bristol Palin got by with a little love from her friends — on Facebook.
But it seemed either Bristol — or someone in her camp, finally snapped. The ‘Dancing With the Stars’ alum posted an eloquent letter to the MSNBC host on her page to defend her position as an abstinence advocate, despite having a baby as a teen.
Shia LaBeouf vs. Frankie Muniz
The beef is back! During a radio show interview, Shia LaBeouf hurled an insult at Frankie Muniz’s way, reigniting a years-long feud between the young actors. The ‘Wall Street 2′ star deflected the credit for his box office success, saying, “While that’s flattering as hell, you could have put Frankie Muniz into any of the movies I’ve been in and those movies still would’ve still been No. 1.’
Muniz managed to give a retort by taking to Twitter. ‘Dear Shia Labeouf. It’s getting creepy the fact that you can’t stop talking about me. It’s been 12 years now. I don’t know you. Thanks,’ he tweeted.
Sean Penn vs. Wyclef Jean
Sean Penn is not a supporter of Wyclef Jean’s presidential bid in Haiti and he’s not afraid to say it. In August, the actor told Larry King that he worried the singer’s campaign was simply ‘about a vision of flying around the world, talking to people.’ He later penned a column for the Huffington Post criticizing the singer for being absent after the January earthquake in Haiti.
‘None among us felt or expressed anger toward it, but rather a universal sadness for his silence, as he is America’s most admired cultural link to Haiti,’ the actor wrote. In response, Jean lashed out at Penn, suggesting the actor’s recreational drug use led to him criticizing the singer’s presidential bid.
‘I got a message for Sean Penn: Maybe he ain’t see me in Haiti because he was too busy sniffing cocaine,’ he sang while performing his 2004 hit ‘President’ at Hot 97’s On the Reggae Trip.
Naomi Campbell vs. Mia Farrow
Diamonds might be Naomi Campbell’s best friend, but Mia Farrow sure isn’t. The actress contradicted Campbell’s claim at the war crimes trial of former Liberian President Charles Taylor that she had no idea who gave her a bag of ‘dirty-looking pebbles’ that turned out to be blood diamonds.
‘She said that in the night she had been awakened,’ Farrow told the court. ‘Some men were knocking at the door, and they had been sent by Charles Taylor, and they had given her a huge diamond.’
Farrow said she and Campbell met Taylor at a 1997 reception in South Africa hosted by Nelson Mandela. She said the next morning at breakfast Campbell told them the strange story.
Campbell, who had to be subpoenaed to testify in early August, said she didn’t know who Taylor was when she met him at the reception. She said she turned over the sack of stones to Jeremy Ractliffe, who used to run a Mandela charity.
Taylor Jacobson vs. Rachel Zoe
The drama that unfolded after the firing of celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe’s sharp-tongued fashion assistant, Taylor Jacobson, has finally come to light. During the season premiere of ‘The Rachel Zoe Project,’ Jacobson was accused of swiping and never returning the company’s high-priced designer merchandise.
‘Not much shocks me in my life, but this is one of the things that has really shocked me the most in my life and my career, for sure,’ Zoe wrote on her Bravo blog, adding that she has not spoken to Jacobson since the incident occurred November 2009.
Jacobson defended herself by pointing out that her breast size would have kept her from fitting into samples that were geared more to the size 0 forms of runway models.
‘Why would I steal samples? And I am a 34D! Does no one look at what is on the runway?’ the sharp-tongued stylist told TV Guide. ‘I’m not a sample size at all. … It is just so bizarre.’
Lindsay Lohan vs. Joan Rivers
Can’t say we blame her! Comedienne Joan Rivers couldn’t help but crack a few jokes at Lindsay Lohan’s expense after the troubled actress received her jail sentence. Rivers, 77, tweeted, ‘Lindsay Lohan is so dumb. Her idea of being sworn in is cursing at the judge,’ referring to Lohan’s F-word manicure.
Not one to walk away from a fight, Lohan, 24, fired back. ‘Joan Rivers and her ’stargument’ make me believe that she and Michael Lohan are a match made in heaven, Lohan tweeted about Rivers and her estranged father.
Lindsay Lohan vs. George Lopez
Troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan lashed out at comedian George Lopez after he made a quip about her powdery shoes on his show. Lilo took to Twitter to vent spleen on the ‘Lopez Tonight’ host when during his monologue he laughed about the highly publicized photo of her with white powder billowing out of her heels.
‘Thanks for the childish comment regarding baby powder in my shoes to loosen up the leather,’ she tweeted. ‘Don’t you have kids? U wouldn’t wanna hear that about them, or would you? Act like a grown man, have some respect and dignity for yourself.’
In response to Lohan’s furious post, Lopez asked the actress to visit his show, saying, ‘You want me to stop talking about you I will,’ he tweeted. ‘Come and tell me … To my face … I’ll stop!! Respectfully.’ Stay tuned to see who wins round two of this celeb feud …
Howard Stern vs. Gabourey Sibide’s mom
Gabourey Sidibe may have kept her mouth shut after radio shock jock Howard Stern viciously mocked her weight on-air, but the ‘Precious’ star’s mother isn’t keeping quiet.
‘Get a life!’ Alice Tan Ridley ranted on ‘Inside Edition’ about Stern, who called her daughter ‘the most enormous, fat black chick I’ve ever seen.’
‘He can see, you can see, I can see Gabby is a big girl,’ Ridley said. ‘She’s a big woman, so what’s wrong with that?’
Stern also questioned the 26-year-old’s acting abilities and future in the entertainment industry, saying, ’she’s never going to be in another movie.’
However, Ridley was quick to defend her famous daughter, saying, ‘She’s not like everyone else in the world. I don’t see him giving jobs out to anybody, so why should we care what he says? “He might not hire her, but someone else will.’
Conan O’Brien vs. NBC
Late night comedian Conan O’Brien was forced to leave NBC made a series of scheduling mistakes that made them the butt of every joke in late 2009. It all started when NBC officials thought ‘The Tonight Show’ host Jay Leno would be a primetime goldmine, so they moved Jay to the 10 p.m. time slot and gave ‘The Late Show’ host O’Brien the coveted ‘Tonight’ spot.
But after Leno’s new time totally flopped and Conan’s ratings weren’t as good as expected, NBC decided to upend the network’s struggling prime-time and late-night lineup. They began by canceling Leno’s 10 p.m. show, and wanted to move him back to 11:35, followed by ‘Tonight’ at 12:05 a.m. O’Brien said no, he didn’t want to be part of the destruction of a franchise, and his team negotiated a settlement of $45 million, which included $12 million for his staff.
In the end, NBC came out as the biggest loser, Leno’s primetime show will go down in history as one of TV’s epic failures, and Conan took his pay day and will hopefully resurface on a new network to greater success.
Lily Allen vs. Courtney Love
Courtney Love is getting anything but affection from Lily Allen — and their clash is all over Twitter. The feuding singers have been at each others’ throats since London’s Brit Awards in early February, according to E! Online.
Following the NMEs, Allen took to Twitter to address reports that Love had confronted her about putting a ‘lock’ on anyone else wearing Chanel to a previous award show.
‘She’s upset because she has got it into her head that i put a lock on some dresses for the brit awards. She’s made no secret of this and, when i saw her at the NME’s she tried to talk to me and i told her to shut up and stop spreading stupid rumours about me.’ The singer also added, ‘I don’t pick on crazy old ladies,’ a mild diss, coming after Allen’s earlier tweet calling Love ‘a paranoid drug addled lunatic.’
Lunatic or not, Love also seems ready to put this debacle behind her, tweeting, ‘Dear i was told by my pr you had a ;ock on chanel couture this coulve been nonsense, it’s a compliment if true,’ Love tweeted to Allen. ‘I think i know the actual reality, if you did NOT have a lock wich i think is the mpore probable I was told nonsense. so end.’
Dina & Lindsay Lohan vs. Michael Lohan
It may not be Lindsay Lohan’s fault that her life is a tabloid train wreck; her actions may stem from her parent’s tumultuous marriage, which ended in 2007. The actress has made many accusations against her father Michael, saying he cheated on and physically abused her mother, Dina. Since being released from jail, Michael declared himself a born-again Christian and has publicly scolded his ex-wife’s parenting skills, saying she views her children as a ‘bankable commodity.’
In an attempt to ’save’ his famous daughter, Michael has released several taped phone conversations to the media that have revealed that Dina was worried about her daughter’s health, Lindsay was a cutter and had dated Heath Ledger during the time of his death.
‘My father is a lunatic and doesn’t even deserve such a title since he’s never been around in my life other than when he’d threaten me and my family,’ LiLo said.
Johnny Weir vs. Canadian broadcasters
Skater Johnny Weir had icy comments about Canadian broadcasters who dissed his Olympic efforts. They ‘pissed me off,’ the outspoken Weir said in a press conference in Vancouver, reports People.com.
‘It wasn’t these two men criticizing my skating, it was them criticizing me as a person,’ Weir said. ‘Nobody knows me. I think masculinity is what you believe it to be.’
The 25-year-old athlete was referring to observations made about his skating style and costumes by Claude Mailhot and Alain Goldberg of RDS, a French-language sports channel in Quebec. ‘This may not be politically correct, but do you think he lost points due to his costume and his body language?’ Mailhot said.
Goldberg responded that Weir’s graceful mannerisms take the muscle out of male figure skating and damage the sport, saying, ‘They’ll think all the boys who skate will end up like him. It sets a bad example.’
Johnny Weir vs. ‘Stars on Ice’
Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir may have been left out in the cold from the ‘Stars on Ice’ tour, but he’s not keeping quiet about the snub. The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) previously reported that the 25-year-old Olympian was not permitted to participate in the event because he was allegedly deemed ‘not family friendly’ by the tour’s sponsors.
Weir confirmed the reports when he spoke to ‘Access Hollywood,’ saying, ‘It is for real.’
‘I’ve never been invited to do ‘Star on Ice’ before, which is the only figure skating tour in the U.S., and it’s disappointing that I can’t perform for my American fans … all because I’m not ‘family friendly’ enough,’ he said.
Pink vs. Prince William
Royalty means little to chart-topper Pink when it comes to animal cruelty. The singer, who is a member of PETA, called Britain’s Prince William ‘a redneck from the South’ after receiving the prince’s written response to a letter she wrote protesting fox hunting.
‘I wrote to him to protest about fox hunting and I figured he would be this stuffy, privileged a–hole,’ Pink told Q magazine. ‘But he’s like a redneck from the South.’
And the ‘So What’ singer thinks Prince William, who attended the U.K.’s best schools, could use a better education.
‘If you’re brought up shooting and hunting animals, if you really think it’s second nature and you’re blasting away, then it’s hard to see the other point of view,’ she told the magazine. ‘You need educating.’
Denise Richards vs. Heather Locklear
Heather Locklear stopped speaking to former pal Denise Richards in 2006 after learning the ‘Wild Things’ star was dating her estranged husband, Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora.
The two never publicly traded barbs, but plenty of hijinx reportedly went on behind the scenes. Locklear even once allegedly parked outside Richards’ home and blasted Bon Jovi’s ‘Livin’ on a Prayer’ – a childish prank which she denies ever took place.
James Cameron vs. Glenn Beck
The Glenn Beck and James Cameron feud reached biblical proportions – all over a 3-year-old ‘joke.’
During a March press conference to promote the DVD release of ‘Avatar,’ Cameron called Beck’s denial of global warming ‘poisonous’ and labeled the Fox personality an ‘a–hole’ for referring to him as the ‘anti-Christ’ in 2007.
On his show that night, Beck appeared surprised by the A-list director’s vitriol. Donning a pair of 3-D glasses to riff on the tech savvy ‘Avatar,’ Beck explained that his ‘anti-Christ’ quip referred to the theme song for ‘Titanic’ – Celine Dion’s ‘My Heart Must Go On’ – which he called ‘horrific.’
The right-wing pundit proceeded to lash out at Cameron for holding a grudge, yelling, ‘This guy is making a billion dollars on a Smurf-murdering movie and he’s stewing about a joke that nobody heard on a network nobody watched!’
Sarah Palin vs. Levi Johnston
Family get-togethers won’t be the most comfortable situation at the Palin household, thanks to Sarah’s war of the words with the baby daddy of her first grandson. When Levi Johnston split with Sarah’s daughter, Bristol, the 19-year-old didn’t hold back his opinions about the former Alaskan governor. He’s trashed her marriage, insulted her parenting skills and bad mouthed her run for Vice President.
But Sarah got the last laugh when she appeared on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and jokingly referred to Levi, who will be appearing semi-nude in an upcoming Playboy spread, as ‘Ricky Hollywood.’ Oh that maverick with her one-liners …
Sarah Palin vs. Rush Limbaugh
Memo to Rush Limbaugh: Sarah Palin’s distaste for jerks who use ‘retard’ as an insult goes for right-wing pals like you, too.
The ex-Alaska governor took the talkmeister to task in February after he waded into the firestorm over White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel’s use of the word ‘retarded’ – and promptly committed the same offense.
‘Our political correct society is acting like some giant insult’s taken place by calling a bunch of people who are retards, retards,’ Limbaugh said on his show. ‘I mean these people, these liberal activists are kooks.’
Referring to Emanuel’s later meeting with advocates for the disabled, Limbaugh said there’s going to be ‘a retard summit at the White House.’
,br> Palin on Monday called for Emanuel to be canned, saying his slamming of liberals in his party as ‘f—— retarded’ was a slur on a par with using the N-word.
Kanye West vs. Taylor Swift
As if Kanye West couldn’t stir up more controversy, the rapper caused an uproar when he rushed the stage to interrupt Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech for the Best Female Video award at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. ‘Imma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time. One of the best videos of all time!’ Kanye barked before a booing audience.
After Taylor received at outpouring of support from celebrities, and even President Obama, Kanye finally phoned the country cutie to apologize for his on-air outburst. But the rapper soon learned that bad behavior comes with consequences: his much-hyped concert tour with Lady Gaga was cancelled and his clothing line folded.
Tom Cruise vs. Brooke Shields
Tom Cruise surprised fans in 2005 when he verbally attacked Brooke Shields on the ‘Today’ show. In a heated interview, Cruise told Matt Lauer that Shields should have treated her postpartum depression, detailed in her book, ‘Down Came the Rain,’ with ‘vitamins and exercise’ – not drugs.
Shields wrote an op-ed piece for the New York Times soon after in which she said, ‘I’m going to take a wild guess and say that Mr. Cruise has never suffered from postpartum depression.’
While Cruise eventually apologized, he had far bigger foes than Brooke Shields to worry about …
Hilary Duff vs. Faye Dunaway
Tween idol Hilary Duff will star as ‘Bonnie’ in a remake of the 1967 classic ‘Bonnie & Clyde,’ in which actress Faye Dunaway originated the role of gun-slinging tough gal Bonnie Parker. And Dunaway is clearly not impressed.
‘Couldn’t they at least cast a real actress?’ she allegedly sneered upon learning of Duff’s role in ‘The Story of Bonnie and Clyde.’
But Duff wasn’t cowed by the ‘Mommy Dearest’ star’s barbs, and in an interview with E!, shot back a zinger of her own, saying, ‘I think that my fans that are going to go see the movie don’t even know who she is … I think it was a little unnecessary but I might be mad if I looked like that now too.’
Elton John vs. Lily Allen
Lily Allen and Elton John traded vicious barbs during the 2008 GQ Men of the Year Awards.
Allen told John to “F— off,” after the multiple Grammy Award winner joked about her champagne overindulgence at the ceremony.
“I am 40 years younger than you and have my whole life ahead of me,” she added. His response? “I could still snort you under the table.”
Shanna Moakler vs. Paris Hilton
Paris Hilton and Shanna Moakler both filed police reports in 2006, claiming that the other assaulted or was involved in assaulting her at a nightclub.
According to Hilton, Moakler punched her in the jaw after shouting at her. Moakler, however, says Hilton’s ex-boyfriend shoved her down a set of stairs.
The former friends became rivals when Hilton was spotted kissing Moakler’s estranged husband, Travis Barker. A Hilton pal alleged that Moakler had been leaving threatening messages on the heiress’ voicemail.
Kanye West vs. 50 Cent
Rapper 50 Cent announced in the summer of 2007 that he would retire as a solo artist if his album, ‘Curtis,’ failed to outsell Kanye West’s CD, ‘Graduation.’
Both albums were released on the same day. West, who mostly stayed mum during 50 Cent’s public declarations, beat his ‘rival.’
50 Cent later recanted his statement about retiring.
Lindsay Lohan vs. Scarlett Johansson
Tension between these two twentysomething starlets started in 2006 when Lindsay Lohan reportedly scrawled a profane phrase about Scarlett Johansson on a bathroom stall at a bar in New York’s Lower East Side.
Scarlett Johansson, 23, never responded to the incident directly, but she did tell Parade magazine earlier this year that she is ‘responsible’ and ‘not the kind of person who is going to show up to work three hours late, or not come at all’ — an apparent jab at Lohan, 22, who was publicly chastised for her irresponsible behavior on the ‘Georgia Rules’ set.
However, Johansson, who recently tied the knot with actor beau Ryan Reynolds, addresses the reported bathroom graffiti in a recent interview.
‘I don’t know what the motivation was,’ Johansson tells Allure magazine. ‘I remember it was something really vulgar – I mean shockingly so, like, ‘Whoa, what, who are you?”
Johansson adds that she’s only met Lohan, ‘like, three times.’
Jamie Foxx vs. Billy Ray and Miley Cyrus
Papa Cyrus is defending his cub! Billy Ray Cyrus, father of tween sensation Miley Cyrus, calls comedian Jamie Foxx’s recent comments about his 16-year-old daughter ‘hurtful.’
‘Quite frankly,’ Cyrus said on the ‘Bonnie Hunt Show.’ ‘I think if I said those things about his daughter, he might not find it so comedic.’
Foxx came under fire from Cyrus fans after verbally attacking the ‘Hannah Montana’ star on his Sirius radio show on Sunday. The 16-year-old should ‘get like Britney Spears and do some heroin. Do like Lindsay Lohan and start seeing a lesbian and get some crack in your pipe. Catch chlamydia on a bicycle seat,’ Foxx opined.
However, Foxx did offer a ’sincere’ mea culpa on the ‘Tonight Show With Jay Leno.’
‘Miley, I apologize, so I’ll call you,’ Foxx said. ‘I got a daughter too, so I completely understand.’
Eminem vs. Mariah Carey
Some words of advice: Don’t ever date Eminem – unless you want your dirty laundry aired. Mariah Carey learned this the hard way when she impersonated the rapper in her music video, ‘Obsessed.’ And like any spiteful musician, Eminem retaliated with an atomic music bomb – a track that reveals nasty details about their sex life (the rapper claims they had a relationship; she has long denied it) that would make Paris Hilton’s sex-tape videographer blush.
Eminem also threatened to release photos and voice-mail recordings that he has been holding onto all this time. Um, obsessed, much?
Paris Hilton vs. Lindsay Lohan
Brandon Davis’ infamous ‘firecrotch’ rant in 2006 cemented the rivalry between Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan.
Lohan was reportedly miffed when her on-again, off-again friend was captured on film giggling while Davis drunkenly ranted about her nether region.
The two have continued to publicly trade barbs – and party together – since then.
NeNe Leakes vs. Kim Zolciak
Anyone looking for a ‘Real’ catfight should head down to Atlanta! While these ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ drama queens were once the best of friends, things took a turn for the worse when a boozed-up NeNe poked fun of Kim’s singing voice and berated her for dating a married man. (Remember Big Poppa?)
All hell broke loose when the frenemies faced off during a heated confrontation, which ended with Kim filing a police report against NeNe for allegedly choking her – twice. But it seems bygones are bygones … for now at least. Just give these Georgia peaches a bottle of white wine to share and they’re besties all over again!
Speaking of housewife drama …
Bethenny Frankel vs. Rachel Zoe
The ‘Real Housewives of New York’ star slammed Zoe after watching an episode of the celebrity stylist’s reality show.
‘Wondering if I’m the only one who can’t get over the self-important nonsense that is Rachel Zoe,’ quipped Frankel, who added a jab at one of the eccentric stylist’s catchphrases. ‘if I stick on a lampshade with a moo moo and a pair of bananas hoop earrings, rz may just D I E.’
After getting wind of Frankel’s disparaging words, Zoe responded, ‘wow talk abt no class bn friends 4yrs rude. she is inappropriate and clearly desperate for some attention.’
Lily Allen vs. Victoria Beckham
Feisty Brit pop singer Lily Allen took aim at her fellow headline-grabbing celebs, pop star-cum-fashionista Victoria Beckham and her soccer hunk hubby.
‘The Beckhams are sickening,’ the singer told a French magazine in May 2009. ‘Everyone knows Victoria is a monster.’
Allen also lashes out against Cheryl Cole, a member of Brit pop group Girls Aloud, calling her ’stupid, superficial and as ugly outside as inside.’
But this isn’t the first time the singer has had a few snide words for a fellow singer…
David Letterman vs. Sarah Palin
The ‘Late Show’ funnyman finally went too far when he joked about Palin’s New York visit in June, saying that ‘during the seventh inning, her daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez.’ Without naming which daughter, the joke apparently referred to Palin’s 18-year-old daughter, Bristol, an unwed mother. However it was 14-year-old daughter Willow, not Bristol, who had been at the game with Palin.
The former Alaskan governor didn’t take the remark too kindly, calling the ’sexually perverted’ joke ‘disgusting.’ After Dave publicly apologized to the former VP hopeful, Palin accepted “on behalf of all young women.”
Lindsay Lohan vs. Stevie Nicks
Lindsay Lohan’s hard-partying lifestyle may be effecting her professional life more than she would like to admit. And Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks isn’t afraid to say as much to the thrice-rehabbed starlet.
In response to news that Lohan wanted to buy the rights to Nicks’ life story to nab the lead role, the singer told the New York Times, ‘Over my dead body.’
‘She needs to stop doing drugs and get a grip. Then maybe we’ll talk,’ added Nicks.
Kristen Cavallari vs. Audrina Patridge
With former enemy Lauren Conrad off of the MTV’s ‘Hills,’ Kristen quickly found a new sparring partner in Audrina. During the first episode of this season’s reality show, Kristen quickly made a bad impression on the brunette beauty by ‘making sure to yell out one-liners and hog camera time.’ Adding insult to injury, Kristen began seeing Audrina’s ex, Justin ‘Bobby’ Brescia, on-screen. Off-screen, the blond troublemaker is reportedly dating Audrina’s other ex, Tal Cooperman. But this tiff is nothing compared to ‘The Hills’ war that made the show a hit …
Lauren Conrad vs. Speidi
All was well in ‘The Hills’ when Lauren and Heidi were BFFs. They shared gossip, clothes and an apartment – but all that soon changed when Spencer Pratt entered the picture. Upon learning LC didn’t approve of Heidi’s new beau, Spencer made the reality star-turned-designer his mortal enemy. The villain with the flesh-colored beard tried to tarnish LC’s reputation by spreading a false rumor about a sex tape (which he later admitted to), and ultimately drove the former friends apart.
Though Lauren attended the couple’s wedding (for the reality show), she has expressed no desire to reconnect with Heidi – unless Spencer is out of the picture.
But Lauren isn’t the only person on Spencer’s hate list ….
Spencer Pratt vs. Mary-Kate Olsen
Though it’s hard to even imagine ‘The Hills’ star and MK socializing in the same crowd, the enemies know each other from their high school days in Los Angeles. During an appearance on the ‘Late Show,’ Mary-Kate spilled the beans on Spencer’s bad ‘temper’ during soccer games, in which the fame-hungry reality star would frequently walk off the field in a huff.
Spencer lived up to his villainous reputation by responding, ‘I know I’ve made it in Hollywood when a famous troll is talking about me on Letterman … I forgive her, though. She’s had to go through life as the less cute twin, which must be tough.’
