Big winner: David Robson, from Newcastle upon Tyne, scooped £2.6million playing an online casino game - after betting just 90p
The father-of-one said he had to call his own father in from the kitchen to confirm the bumper win was real.
He said: 'I wasn't watching the screen when I got to the final stage because the wheel spins itself and I knew I was going to win something.
'I looked away and I looked back and it had hit jackpot.
'And there was a big blue screen saying I had won £2,642,668.61. It was absolutely unbelievable.
'I started shouting for my dad because I wanted someone to verify what I had seen on the screen.
'My mam was a bit concerned cause she thought something was wrong but I told her it might be something good.'
The family huddled up around the screen, stunned, before David called Sky to be told it was true.
He said: 'I heard my bank balance over the telephone and I have access to online banking so I could see my balance but to an extent it was too much to take in. It is a fantastic position to be in.'
He added: 'I think everybody was a bit sceptical in case something was wrong. The first contact I had again from Sky Vegas was the following day when they rang me to congratulate me.
'My mam didn't believe it. I told her that the money was in the bank and then that was it for her, she just broke down.'
The Driving Standards Agency analyst is now planning a holiday to Canada with his partner Nicola and has handed in his notice at work.
He said: 'I rang my line manager and said unfortunately I wasn't going to be around for much longer as far as work was concerned. He was quite taken aback and he couldn't believe it when I told him the reason why.'
He added: 'I'm just an ordinary guy. I have worked for the DSA since I did my A levels. I have been there for 17 years.
'I worked my way up a little bit but I just go in and do the best job that I can and then I come home. I earn my wage like everybody else.
'It is absolutely unbelievable that something like this can happen to someone like me.'
David said he won't be splashing out on a luxury sports car but has dreams of seeing his favourite team Liverpool in luxury.
'The one thing I want would be a box at Anfield,' he said.
'I'm a big Liverpool fan and having a box there would be fantastic but there are about 25,000 people on the waiting list.'
The family man will instead treat his parents, with whom he lives in a council home, to a flash new house and will also buy property for himself and other family members.
He will also treat his young daughter to a holiday once school is out.
But, he said the money won't change him and he will be sticking to his North East roots.
He said: 'I will definitely be around in Newcastle and I would like to think I will stay somewhere close to where I live now.
'But, I have always fancied a house with a games room, a snooker table and a computer system and to think that is a possibility now is absolutely fabulous.'
Sky Vegas' head of gaming, John Parsonage, said: 'This is the second time we've made a player a millionaire from this game and it's the biggest ever single win at Sky Vegas and probably one of the biggest in the industry.'
