Simon Fuller Hollywood Walk Fame
Simon Fuller Hollywood Walk Fame. Simon Fuller will join the likes of Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley and Jack Nicholson by getting his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Hollywood chamber of commerce announced today that the British TV and pop impresario had made the cut of people whose stars will be unveiled on the famous boardwalk next year.
Oprah Winfrey, Penelope Cruz, Gwyneth Paltrow and Tina Fey are among 30 other stars whose names were chosen from a list of hundreds to receive the honour.
Fuller, 50, launched The Spice Girls and created American Idol along with its British equivalent Pop Idol. His company 19 Entertainment also manages David and Victoria Beckham.
Estimated to be worth £300 million, Fuller remains one of the most powerful figures in the entertainment world.
And no doubt he will be pleased to have beaten his old friend Simon Cowell to the honour.
However, he will be going head to head with Cowell when American Idol competes for talent and audiences with Cowell’s The X Factor in the U.S. this autumn.
