Ever since the former California governor admitted to fathering a child with an unnamed member of his staff, speculation has been rife about the identity of his secret second family.Some news sources are speculating that the staff member in question is a former stewardess who worked on the Governator’s private jet (her teenage son bears a striking resemblance to Arnie), but tabloid tattles both claim to have the world exclusive scoop on the identity of the woman who secretly bedded the iron-pumping actor for her years before giving birth to his son in 1999.
Baena, 50, worked as a housekeeper for Arnie and his wife Maria Shriver for 20 years before retiring in January of this year. According to reports, her 14-year-old son was fathered by Schwarzenegger. Mildred’s $ 1,200 per week job included cooking, cleaning and doing laundry for the couple and their four kids, Katherine, 21, Christina, 19, Patrick, 17, and Christopher, 13. She and her son did not live on the premises.
“She’s the one,” a source told Radar.
A second source confirmed: “They have a son together.”
Patty, as Baena is known, “was treated well by generous Schwarzenegger” once he found out that he had fathered the boy, who by then was a toddler. She now lives in a 4-bedroom house with a pool, several hours outside of LA with the boy and her three other children.
Arnold – who has been married to Maria for 25 years – is said to have contributed financially to the boy’s upbringing before eventually confessed his affair after he completed his second term as governor earlier this year. Shriver and the Terminator star have four children together; Katherine, 21, Christina, 19, Patrick, 17, and Christopher, 13.
“After leaving the governor’s office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago. I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children, and my family. I am truly sorry,” the 63-year-old Terminator star said in a statement Tuesday. “I ask that the media respect my wife and children through this extremely difficult time. While I deserve your attention and criticism, my family does not.”
Maria added: “This is a painful and heartbreaking time. As a mother my concern is for the children. I ask for compassion, respect and privacy as my children and I try to rebuild our lives and heal. I will have no further comment.”
